The Eric Fry Labour History Research Grant assists students doing an honours or postgraduate thesis of at least 10,000 words to research at the Noel Butlin Archives Centre at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra.

The Canberra Region Branch of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History (ASSLH) and the ANU Australian Studies Institute invite students doing honours or equivalent to apply for a $1,000 grant to do research at the Noel Butlin Archives Centre (NBAC), based at ANU in Canberra.

Duncan Hart from the University of Queensland won the grant in 2022 for his research, ‘From revolutionary hopes to shattered dreams: the far-left in Australia 1918-1925’.
