Alfonso Miguel Do Rego is currently pursuing a Master of Accounting at Western Sydney University. Originally from Hong Kong, he is building his professional career in Australia with a strong interest in taxation, financial reporting, business advisory, and the role of accounting in supporting effective business decision-making.
Alongside his postgraduate studies, Alfonso has gained practical accounting experience through an internship in Australia, where he has developed exposure to individual taxation, client services, and day-to-day accounting processes. This experience has strengthened his analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills while allowing him to apply academic knowledge in a professional setting.
With experience studying and working across Hong Kong and Australia, Alfonso is particularly interested in cross-cultural business environments and the economic connections between Australia and Greater China.
