Hong (Hilda) Wu is currently completing a Master of Nursing Practice at the University of New England. Through her clinical placements and work in disability support, she has gained experience in aged care, mental health, and community-based care. These experiences have strengthened her interest in person-centred care, communication, and supporting people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Originally from Anhui, China, Hong (Hilda) is particularly interested in cultural exchange and the experiences of international students living and studying in Australia. After graduation, she hopes to become a registered nurse and continue developing her clinical knowledge and skills in a specialised area of nursing. She is also interested in building a long-term career in Australia and contributing to culturally responsive healthcare.
Through the Stephen FitzGerald Scholars Program, Hong (Hilda) looks forward to learning more about Australian society and institutions, connecting with students from across Australia, and sharing her own cross-cultural perspective.
