Jiahui Zhang is currently in the second year of a Master of Nursing Practice degree at the University of New England in Armidale, New South Wales. Originally from Huaibei, Anhui, China. Her hobbies include watching animations, listening to music, painting, and playing computer games.
Her passion for nursing is rooted in a genuine desire to help others, and through both academic training and clinical practice, she has developed a strong interest in rural healthcare. She has completed four clinical placements in rural New South Wales: in Scone, Narrabri, Taree, and Coffs Harbour. These invaluable experiences have not only sharpened her clinical skills but also reinforced her ability to deliver patient-centred care. She takes pride in building and maintaining therapeutic relationships with patients and their families and in contributing to improved health outcomes in underserved communities.
Prior to nursing, she worked as a government employee in the investment promotion department in Guangdong for three years. This transition from economics to nursing reflects her passion for direct human connection, hands-on care, and helping individuals heal. Upon graduation, she plans to work in rural hospitals, where she hopes to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to society.
