Tianjie (Jodie) Xie is a Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice student at The University of Queensland, Australia. Originally from Zhengzhou, China, she has a strong academic foundation in pharmacology, having completed her undergraduate thesis on the anti-inflammatory mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine.

She previously worked as a junior researcher at a biotechnology company, where she focused on in vitro bioactivity assays and developed expertise in cell culture, transfection, and qPCR. In addition to her academic and industry experience, Jodie is actively engaged in student wellbeing initiatives. She served as a peer mentor and vice president of her university’s Mental Health Association in China and continues to support international students in Australia.

Jodie is interested in translational medicine, regulatory affairs, and the global pharmaceutical landscape. She aspires to build a career in biopharmaceutical development, contributing to healthcare innovation.

Beyond science, Jodie has a deep appreciation for nature and spiritual practices. She values curiosity, compassion, and intercultural dialogue, and is honoured to be selected as a 2025 Stephen FitzGerald Scholar.
