On Yiu (Nicole) Cheung is an international student from Hong Kong, who is currently in the second year of postgraduate degree in occupational therapy at Curtin University in Perth. Upon graduation of an undergraduate degree in biotechnology in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Nicole held full-time positions for three years, respectively at a pharmaceutical company and the Hospital Authority, before relocating to Perth to pursue her further studies. Growing up with a brother within the autism spectrum has ignited Nicole's passion in occupational therapy in the field of paediatrics. As an occupational therapy student in Curtin University, through lectures by resourceful professors and numerous placement opportunities, Nicole is imparted with useful knowledge and practical skills in the field, which prepare her as a future paediatric occupational therapist. Studying abroad also enhances Nicole's exposure to different culture, providing her with a broader perspective on the world.
