I am Yuchen Liu, a master’s student in Data Science at the University of Adelaide, where I’ve consistently achieved High Distinctions throughout my studies. Before coming to Australia, I worked as a business analyst/data scientist in China, gaining valuable industry experience that now informs my academic pursuits. I also hold a doctoral degree in Linguistics from Peking University, which gives me a unique perspective on bridging technical skills with cultural insights. Alongside my studies, I have worked as a tutor for the Foundations of Computer Science course, enjoying the opportunity to connect with students and share my passion for learning.
I’m originally from Inner Mongolia, China, and spent over 10 years studying and working in Beijing. I’m excited about building stronger ties between China and Australia. Outside of academics, I’m a coffee enthusiast who works part-time as a barista, and I’d love to share a cup of coffee with others in this program. My goal is to continue my journey as a data scientist in the public sector, using my skills to support collaboration between our two nations.
