Ziwen is currently pursuing a master’s degree in information technology with a specialisation in Software Development at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). Recognized on the Dean’s List in 2024, Ziwen has embraced a comprehensive university experience that goes beyond academics. Through school programs like UTS BUILD, Ziwen has gained valuable insights into global leadership and cultural exchange, and learned how to apply the importance of empathy, resilience, and critical thinking to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Additionally, Ziwen completed the UTS SOUL Award Program, contributing 108 hours of social impact action with organizations such as the Australian Red Cross, Vivid Sydney, Code Club, Tour de Cure, Elsie Conference, SSI, SCHF, The Japan Foundation, SSF, AFFFF etc.

Passionate about cross-cultural understanding, Ziwen is currently volunteering with Fish Talk as the website administrator for a documentary named Pandas in the Land of Koalas, which highlights the experiences and contributions of Chinese immigrants in Australia. This project deeply resonates with Ziwen’s own journey as an international student, connecting education with cultural identity and community support. Looking forward, Ziwen is excited to further explore Australia-China relations, with the goal of contributing to mutual understanding and collaboration between the two nations.
