ANU EOI: AuSI Manager - Join our team!

The ANU Australian Studies Institute (AuSI) is looking for a new Manager (Full-time, Fixed Term – 6 months).
This is an internal EOI for ANU staff, with a closing deadline of Friday 1 August 2025.
Position overview
The Manager of the Australian Studies Institute (AuSI) is a key operational role, responsible for overseeing the Institute’s day-to-day activities with a high level of autonomy. Working closely with the Director, the Manager coordinates strategic initiatives, manages finances and events, and leads communications and stakeholder engagement. The role also oversees digital platforms and ensures compliance with ANU policies, contributing to the Institute’s visibility and impact across the University and beyond.
Key responsibilities include financial administration, project coordination, event and program management, marketing and communications, and oversight of digital platforms such as the Institute’s website and CRM database. The Manager will also lead the development and implementation of procedures and protocols, ensuring compliance with ANU policies and contributing to the Institute’s visibility and impact within and beyond the University.
The Person
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and strategically minded professional to lead the day-to-day operations of the ANU Australian Studies Institute. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with a strong background in administration, finance, and event management, capable of working autonomously while fostering collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
You will bring exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent the Institute in high-level forums and manage relationships with VIPs and advisory board members. Your experience in project coordination, policy implementation, and marketing communications will be essential in driving the Institute’s strategic initiatives forward.
Technologically adept, you will be comfortable managing websites, CRM databases, and digital media platforms, and will have a keen eye for detail in producing high-quality promotional and multimedia content. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing competing priorities with sound judgement and initiative, and will be committed to upholding the values of equity, inclusion, and excellence in a university setting.
