Jim Chalmers has been Treasurer of Australia since May 2022, and has now delivered five Budgets. Prior to the election of the Albanese Labor Government he served as Shadow Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Finance. He has been the Member for Rankin in the House of Representatives since 2013, proudly representing the people and suburbs of southern Brisbane and Logan City.
Liz Allen is a senior lecturer and award-winning demographer at the ANU Centre for Social Policy Research. Liz teaches research methods and researches population dynamics. She is also a regular media commentator for all things demography. Her book, The Future of Us, is a call to action to build a stronger Australia through fairness and equality.
Mark Kenny is the Director of the Australian Studies Institute. He came to the Australian National University after a high-profile journalistic career culminating in 6 years as chief political correspondent and national affairs editor of The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and The Canberra Times.
