Shing Chun (Dennis) Leung is a fourth-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) student at The University of Sydney, originally from Hong Kong. His clinical training spans both community and hospital pharmacies, where he assists with medication reviews, patient counselling, and the care for diverse communities. His Honours research examined medication use in aged care, sparking a strong interest in improving health support and communication for older adults. Having moved to Australia for university, he also understands firsthand the challenges international students face when adjusting to a new country.
As a Stephen FitzGerald Scholar, Shing Chun (Dennis) is keen to learn more about Australia’s political and cultural landscape and how different communities shape everyday life. He hopes to use his background in healthcare to better understand public policy while actively supporting cross-cultural exchange and better outcomes for international students. Ultimately, he aims to combine clinical practice with community advocacy to help build more inclusive, responsive care systems.
