Junrong (Severus) Tang is currently studying the Master of Pharmaceutical Industry Practice at The University of Queensland, after completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto. Originally from Shenzhen, China, he has studied in both Canada and Australia and is interested in how science, healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry connect across different countries.
His main interests include regulatory affairs, clinical research, market access and pharmaceutical innovation. He is also interested in Australia–China relations, particularly opportunities for collaboration in healthcare, research and the life sciences. As a 2026 Stephen FitzGerald Scholar, Severus looks forward to learning from other students and professionals, developing a broader understanding of the Australia–China relationship, and contributing his own perspective as an international student with experience across China, Canada and Australia.
