UNSW

I'm Peijun Qin, hailing from Shanghai, and currently pursuing a Master of Biomedical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. My professional journey has been marked by a series of enriching experiences. I completed internships with industry giants such as Siemens Healthineers and Jiangsu Hagong Intelligent Robot, where I made substantial contributions to projects in medical imaging and surgical robotics. Currently, my research at UNSW is centered on pioneering the development of a novel vagus nerve computational model. This research has the potential to revolutionize medical technology by enabling selective nerve modulation. Outside of my academic pursuits, I actively engage with the university community as a casual academic staff member and serve as a student ambassador for the Faculty of Engineering. In my leisure time, I find joy in playing basketball and exploring new travel destinations. In fact, I currently hold the positions of captain and leader for two basketball teams in the Sydney U League, where my passion for teamwork and leadership truly thrives. I am deeply honored to be a part of the 2023 Stephen FitzGerald Scholarship Program, and I look forward to the experiences it will bring.
