Siwei Luo is from Hubei Province, China, and is currently in her final trimester of a Master’s in Cyber Security at Deakin University. Before moving into the IT field, she worked in non-technical roles, but her passion for technology inspired her to pursue studies in cybersecurity, where she is now developing essential skills in protecting data, defending against cyber threats, and improving digital security.
Although new to IT, Siwei has made significant progress and aims to build a successful career in cybersecurity. She is eager to gain more hands-on experience and continue learning about the fastevolving world of cyber defense.
Being selected for the Stephen FitzGerald Scholars Program is a great honor for Siwei. Through this opportunity, she hopes to deepen her understanding of Australian society and culture while also helping to inspire other young students to explore the possibilities of studying abroad in Australia. By sharing her experiences, she aims to encourage more students to discover the enriching education and diverse culture Australia has to offer.
