Deakin University

I am a Master of Mechanical Engineering student currently studying at Deakin University. I have demonstrated great motivation in the field of Mechanical Engineering, achieving a weighted average mark of 89. My research interests focus on metal additive manufacturing. My present research project involves the fabrication of NiTi shape memory alloys using laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing technique. This project demonstrates my excellent project planning and problem-solving skills, including experimental design, data analysis and teamwork. I excel at leading diverse teams and being flexible in dealing with conflicts within the team. My career goal is to become an innovative researcher specialising in metal additive manufacturing. I am interested in the fields of sustainability, additive manufacturing, and advanced materials, and intend to advance these fields by applying my research achievements to real-world problems. I am from Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Thanks to the Australia-China Leading Scholars Program, this opportunity will allow me to interact with senior government, parliamentary, legal, cultural, and scientific leaders. This will enable me as a Chinese student to contribute to the cooperation and links between Australia and China. I believe that this program will broaden my horizons and allow me to identify gaps in competencies and skills with other students and practitioners, and I expect to transform the achievements of this study tour into more academic outputs and social commitments in the future.
