
Yu-Jui (Ray) Yang is a Master of Translation and Interpreting student at the University of Melbourne, originally from Taiwan. With academic experience across Taiwan, the UK, and now Australia, Ray brings a strong intercultural perspective to language work. He is passionate about promoting mutual understanding between Australia and the Chinese-speaking world through culturally aware communication.
Ray’s recent projects include translating excerpts of Song Cycle of the Moon-Bone, analysing Traditional and Simplified Chinese subtitles of Finding Nemo, and writing bilingual promotional content for Dead Talents Society (鬼才之道) as part of the 2025 Melbourne Taiwan Film Festival. These experiences reflect his commitment to inclusive storytelling and intercultural dialogue.
Ray aims to contribute to building cultural bridges through accurate and engaging language representation in both Mandarin and English.
