Yujie began his academic journey in the Master of Cultural and Creative Industries at Monash in 2023, while concurrently pursuing a Master of Arts Management at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, which he started in 2022. His passion for exploring culture and creativity and their interactions with higher education and the economy drives his research.
At Monash, Yujie’s research focuses on arts curriculum design in Chinese universities and how Chinese arts students engage with the creative industries. Simultaneously, at SCCM, his study focuses on the operational models of indigenous art centres in Australia and their contributions to the local creative economy.
Yujie’s active involvement in collaborative initiatives between Monash and Chinese institutions deepens his cross-cultural experience, sharpening his commitment to advancing collaboration between Australia and China in terms of creative industries and higher education.
